Fri, 6 February 2009 On today's Top 5 Movie Junkie episode Luke, Susan and Craig count down their Top 5 Funny Scary Movies. These are the movies that are both funny and scary. Comments[2] |
This podcast was scary funny itself. Thank you!
Be on the lookout for the Chinese horror film "The Park". I saw it with my father, mother, and my partner a few years back at the film festival in Philadelphia because my father watches silly scary movies, like, "Amphibians from the Deep" or whatever. Anyway, I brought him to it based on the description, which explained that they originally planned for the movie to be in 3-D. Apparently, they went over budget and ran out of money, so only pieces of the movie are in 3-D. In order to facilitate this, a flashing icon appears on the bottom of the screen telling you to put your 3-D glasses on to experience the effect. It is supposed to make it more scary, but the flashing icon (and seeing it with a large group of people; most of the theater was filled) and the ineffectiveness of the "scares" brought such a kitschy feel to the whole thing, I suggest you check it out.
Been listening for a while, but this is my first writing. Thanks for the podcasts, and thanks for reading the comment.
